About Me

I’m Sergi, a Game and Level Designer from Spain with a background of 10 years in software development and 4 years of experience working with Unreal Engine 4/5. In 2021 I decided to switch careers and dig into what has always peaked my interest since I was a kid, video game development.

To achieve such, I decided to study Game Design at CG Spectrum and had the chance to be mentored by amazing and experienced game designers within the industry. Additionally, I was also able to learn and experiment with Level Design. Industry wise, I have 2 years of experience as Level Designer working in Unreal Engine 5 after having worked for Astral Clocktower Studios in their game Kristala. During my time there, I had the opportunity to work and collaborate closely with game design, improving and expanding my knowledge in both areas and participating in related decisions.

My skills when it comes to game and level design revolve around sketching, planning, documenting, creating (blockouts), dressing, coding (visual scripting - blueprints), polishing and testing. Level design wise, and as an extension of my design nature, I also create level design documents breaking down every single aspect of the level to keep things organized and well documented for other departments. Collaboration is key, so I aim to keep contact and constant feedback with other departments and coworkers to ensure everything progresses as planned. Always eager and motivated to explore new opportunities that will help me grow further.
