Description

Creation of an abandoned water temple scene with the addition of day and night cycle in Unreal Engine 5. In this scene I played with its composition and explored additional effects such as ground fog to give further detail and boost the scene's ambient.

Considerations

Continuing with learning and expanding my Unreal Engine's knowledge, this time left the landscape tools aside and focused on playing and experimenting with composition and how to set up the scene's mood using just assets and playing with its ambient. This project let me explore:

  1. Scene composition
  2. Exploration of Procedural Content Generation Framework (PCG) by scattering foliage on or around assets
  3. How to change the scene's mood with lighting and weather
  4. Test and experiment with fog (both ground/local and overall ones) to further alter the mood and add detail
